WHO IS CARRAL

Jorge Carral Cuevas was born in Mexico City in 1951.

He began his academic preparation at the Allende Institute in San Miguel Allende, Guanajuato; later he continued in California at the Art Center College of Design.

For two decades his professional life focused on the creation of companies oriented to design and graphic arts. It is after 2000 that he finally takes up his passion for painting full time.

Today he presents these canvases where he explores different forms and themes with his very particular handling of color. In his work and, with his brushstrokes, he represents the richness of color and beauty that exists in our country.

Life, sounds, subtle movement have been a great inspiration to achieve deep insights that go from darkness to the hope of Light. Carral's artwork achieves a perfect balance of strength and peace, movement and stillness in each picture.

His work has been displayed both in individual and group exhibitions in Mexico City. It is currently present in several countries around the world such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and Costa Rica and many more to come.
